Prince performs at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on March 08, 2014. 

I had worked with Prince a couple times and this show would be my last. Prince was an interesting guy and didn't like having cameras in his face, even if he paid you to be there. I spent most of this show hiding amongst the arms in the crowd and sneaking shots. I noticed Prince was really into the show and saw him about to interact with the fans and jumped into the pit. He was so into what he was doing he didn't notice me grab this epic shot. I was excited to see it in my camera. Out of the thousands of images I shot that night this was the only one he approved and when I heard that I let out a sigh of relief. Sometimes you have to work around the artist and they don't want to see you, which is hard when you're 6'4.
